As the MD of Avita Group, I oversee the running of the business. My background includes experience as a motor racing technician and IT technician but I have been at Avita Group for over 20 years. I love the flexibility and diversity of my job and dealing with the technical challenges that arise.
Outside of work I’m passionate about Motor Racing and have enjoyed success, winning multiple UK national championships.
I’ve been a director at Avita since 2016, having started in 1997. I have a Computer Science degree and have gained great industry knowledge, which I’m constantly trying to broaden by keeping on top of new technologies. My customer-facing role includes pre-sales, consultancy, and projects. I particularly enjoy working on clients’ sites and meeting different people. I completed the “Three Peaks Challenge” in 2011 and “Take On The Lakes” in 2016. I play the guitar and 5-a-side football.
I have 20 years’ experience as an electrical engineer and 5 years as an security engineer installing Alarms, door entry and CCTV systems. I was then sub-contracted to Avita Group for around 12 years before becoming part of the team. I am responsible for managing and implementing the installation side of the business and making sure the jobs are handed over within the time frame. No day is the same in my job which makes it even more enjoyable. In my spare time I coach an under 13’s football team and enjoy watching Only Fools and Horses when the wife lets me!
I setup Systemax Communications in 1989 and over the last 30 years have developed it with the much welcome assistance of Mike and Lynn. Prior to that I was at BT and Panasonic. Moving forward we now have the exciting opportunity to join with Avita Group and form a stronger business. I now have the opportunity to focus on customer liaison and delivery. Outside work I enjoy motor racing.
I’ve been at Avita for three years, offering daily support for clients, monitoring and maintaining servers, configuring PCs for business use and delivering IT and AV equipment. I’m CSCS certified and enjoy seeing a challenge through to completion. I studied music to Diploma level and have performed at various festivals around Europe – I even had the privilege of sharing the stage with Pulp and Motorhead.
My early career saw me working for a leading, privately owned, global insurance brokers and was then succeeded by a challenging role managing the office of a new insurance company. Prior to joining the Avita Group, I worked in the Corporate world as a Sales Support Manager for a top 5 Management Consultancy practice. My role at the Avita Group involves managing all administration activities which include HR, Contracts, Finance and supporting the board of Directors. Outside of the Avita Group I enjoy spending time with the family, walking our dog and playing for a local netball team.
I’ve been with Avita for over seven years completing administrative tasks such as filing, taking client calls and assisting the Management team. I have a strong administration background with 15 years’ office management experience but have yet to master the perfect cup of coffee! Outside the office I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my family.
I have joined Avita Group this year in an operational role to help streamline and enhance an already great company. I have been in the customer service industry for 39 years with different roles from front line support and project work to management. I enjoy family time and F1, plus tennis along with working on the family farm.
I joined the Avita Group with over 15 years’ customer services and management experience within the distribution sector. My background includes recruitment; management of teams; dealing with UK and worldwide customers; and implementing and managing new processes and systems.
It’s true to say I do love a spreadsheet!
Outside of work I have a busy family life and enjoy running a netball team as well as playing and umpiring in the local league.
I’ve been working at Avita for the last 3 years however I’ve had a passion for technology my whole life. My job role is very versatile, which is great as it allows me to be always learning new things. I deal with network installations as well as telephone system configurations. I also handle server maintenance and support. Outside of work, you’ll either find me gaming or down the disco!
After over 15 years in IT, including 10 on the Avita helpdesk, I’ve moved in to a more logistical role. Dealing with constantly changing requirements for the engineers and our clients can certainly be challenging, but that only helps to keep things interesting!
I like to spend my spare time outdoors practising my photography skills and can often by found in meadows and woodland taking pictures of anything that moves.
I have been in the industry for over 30 years having worked for British Telecom as an engineer. I have been with Systemax for 20 Years and worked my way up to Project Management. As a Project Manager I ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, that the project’s objectives are met and that everyone else is doing their job properly. As a Project Manager I oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different industries involved are satisfied.
I’ve been at Avita for five years gaining experience with server installations, network configurations and backup management. Monitoring and maintaining these services has given me the knowledge to work on migration projects where I enjoy seeing a job through to completion. I studied music to Diploma level and have performed at various festivals around Europe – I even had the privilege of sharing the stage with Pulp and Motorhead
Since leaving college I have worked in IT for a number of private and public sector firms. My experience in proactive helpdesk and deskside support means I can provide users with a high level of service. Running is my main hobby. I have completed over a hundred races and regularly run and pace at my local parkrun. My greatest running achievement to date has been completing a marathon in 3 hr 35 min in fancy dress !
I have been in the comms industry for over 20 years, starting as a telecom engineer then as a structured cable engineer working on site projects mainly in London and the South east. I have been part of the team that carries out the Installation and supervising of telecommunications and cabling infrastructures for various different clients and companies.
My interests out side of work are food and cooking, Football and my main passion is Fishing where I can escape the busy London hustle to a quite lake out in the county, happy days.
I have been working in the IT support industry for 4 years and since working for Avita for the past year my skills and knowledge has grown exponentially. My role in the company revolves heavily around the support desk, with the opportunity to travel up to London and the surrounding areas, assisting clients with some of the more hands-on technical issues.
Outside of work I am a keen socialiser. My other extra-curricular interests are physics and astronomy. I also enjoy the occasional round of golf when I can fit it in.
I have been in the telecoms industry for 12 years. I work as a data cable engineer installing cable infrastructure. My role requires a keen client focus and enables me to work all across London in some of the most famous buildings in the UK.
Outside of work I spend my free time with my wife and 2 young daughters and we travel back to my home country, Turkey, whenever possible.
I’ve been working at Avita since the beginning, overseeing the financial aspects and overseeing the general running of the office. By far my greatest achievement has been building and developing Avita to the successful company it is today. When I’m not busy working hard in the office, I like to play tennis, go on bike rides as well as travelling and sailing.
