This includes a complete system of cabling and associated hardware which provides a comprehensive telecommunications infrastructure. This infrastructure serves a wide range of uses, such as to provide telephone service or transmit data through a computer network. Every structured cabling system is unique due to variations in structure of the building, the cable and connection products, the function of the cabling installation, the types of equipment the cabling installation will support — present and future, customer requirements and manufacturer warranties.
Category 5e will run up to a maximum of 1gb at 100mhz, category 6 will run at 1gb at 250 mhz and cat 6a will run at 10gb at 500 mhz. Category 7 is 10gb at 600 mhz. We can help advise the correct solution for you installation which may even be a mix of cables depending on the requirements.
Backbone cabling. This can be installed in copper or fibre optic cable. We use the term backbone to describe the cables handling the major network traffic.
